Course Creation Modes
This article will help you understand the course creation modes.
The two course creation modes are Build from Scratch & Guided Build. With Guided Build, you can build a course outline using AI whereas with Start from Scratch, you can build the outline manually.
The first step "About" is the same for both these modes: Enter your course name, description and select the course's category.
Start from Scratch
In this mode, after adding the details in the 'About' section, you can build the course outline manually.
Input an outline of the course you would like to build. Structure it in the form of modules, lessons, assessments and knowledge checks.
Outline is not a mandatory step here, you can also directly jump to Build to start creating the course.
Guided Build
In this mode, after adding the details in the 'About' section, you can describe course goals, parameters (Tone of Voice, Difficulty Level, Course Length, Target Audience) and attach resources to generate the course outline using AI in the 'AI Inputs' section.
The course outline is then generated using AI according to the details entered. You can make any edits to the AI-generated outline if you wish and also choose to go back to the AI inputs step to regenerate the course outline using AI using different details.
