This article will help you with the steps to create a course.
Prerequisites
- You should be an Admin and be in Admin View to create a course.
Step 1: Navigation
To get started follow these steps:
- Click on Coaching in the left navigation bar.
- Ensure you are in Admin View (toggle available at the bottom left).
- Click +New and select New Course from the dropdown.
Step 2: Choosing a Course Creation Mode
You will be prompted to choose how you want to build your course:
- Build from Scratch — You create the course outline manually, section by section.
- Guided Build — AI generates an outline for you, which you can review and edit before building.
Step 3: Building the Course
The course builder has three main steps: About, Outline, and Build. Once you complete these, you can configure settings and assign the course to learners.
1. About: In this step, set the basic details for your course.
- Course name: What you would like your course to be called.
- Description: A short course description visible to learners
- Course category: The courses are organized according to this field. By default, we provide one category (called 'Sales Enablement'). You can create any new categories from here.
- Course banner: Update the course's banner. The course will be viewed with this banner in the learner's listing page view.
2. Outline: In this step, develop a structure for your course before building it out. Input an outline of the course you would like to build. Structure it in the form of modules, lessons, assessments and knowledge checks. For Guided Build, this Outline is generated by AI and you can make any edits to it.
The Outline will only have placeholder title texts and will not create content for any of the items.
3. Build: You can create your course here. The Outline finalized in the previous step is pre-filled here, and you can simply add content to the lessons, add questions to the assessments, and add knowledge checks.
You can also generate lessons, assessments, and knowledge checks with AI.
Adding a Module
Click on 'Add Module' to add a module to the course.
Adding a lesson/assessment/knowledge check to a module

Adding blocks to lessons
The ‘Add Block’ functionality offers enhanced design incorporating a short description for each type of block.
Step 4: Configuring Course Settings
Configure the course settings in this step.
You can configure how your course will be reviewed, and control how users will interact with your course content.
- Add Reviewers: Add people who will be responsible to review the submissions from learners.
- Set manager as reviewer: If checked, this course will be automatically assigned to the learner's manager and the manual reviewers selected for assessment review. If manager is not assigned to learner then it will be assigned to default reviewers.
- Minimum Reviews Required: Minimum number of reviewers required to calculate the assessment score as an average of all the reviews.
- Passing Percentage: Minimum score required to pass assessments. Please note learner has to pass all assessment questions in each module individually.
- Allow Retake: Let learner retake assessments if they don't pass initially.
- Enable sequential learning: If checked, learners needs to complete lessons in sequence.
- Enable rating and feedback: If checked, this allows learners to provide feedback and rating at a course level.
- Allow course only for path: If checked, this course will only be used in paths. Individual learner enrollment is not allowed.
- Enable content download: If checked, learner can download the content added in the lessons (decks, docs, pdfs, etc).
- Generate certificate: If checked, the certificate will be generated for the course.

Step 5: Save & Publish
After configuring the course settings, Save & Publish the course. If you choose to Save as Draft, the course will be saved as a draft and you can edit and publish it whenever you would like to.
Step 6: Assign
This final step can be accessed only after you Save & Publish. Assign the course to Users, Teams, and Cohorts and set due dates.
